An active listener, Heather will ask you more questions than most agents. "Tell me more about your timeline? Help me understand more about what you are wanting in a kitchen? You say hosting is important, tell me more about how you host".  Through these questions, she helps buyers and sellers realize for themselves what is important and to prioritize these items.  She then uses those more discerned insights to help clients sell their current home and/or find the home that fits their family.  Her commitment to honest and direct feedback also creates an environment of trust and realism.  Heather's incessant interest in studying the dynamic trends of the North Carolina market also support her clients in pricing and purchase strategy.  This support extends beyond the key points in the Real Estate Process.  Recognizing that home sales and purchases can be fun, daunting, and complex, Heather is committed to providing her clients’ exceptional care both during and after their home transaction.  "It will happen," she tells her clients. Why Heather does this: A Passion and A Calling

At the age of 11, Heather's family purchased the home next door for $1.00.  The home, a beautiful Victorian with good bones, was slated for demolition by the town.  As a family, they renovated the home together.  After college, Heather began her career as a marketing specialist.  While she enjoyed the work, she kept finding herself reflecting on the Victorian home her family purchased so many years ago. Heather spent her free time helping friends and colleagues: finding a home that “fit them,” designing the interior of other’s homes, and advising on real estate investments. Heather decided to change her career trajectory and do what she actually loved.

In 2007, she pivoted careers to become a real estate mortgage loan officer. Heather initiated loans and transactions, and liked getting the details just right, but she kept longing for more time with clients. She found herself studying Real Estate at night while originating loan contracts during the day.  Then, in 2014, she became a full-time Real Estate Agent.  As is often the case when someone does what they love, Heather has excelled. She has found immense fulfillment as a top producing Real Estate Agent and a member of the President’s Club. And while the accolades are a lovely affirmation on hard work, for Heather, the joy really comes from guiding her clients with their real estate goals.

Community support: It's a Family Thing

When Heather is not supporting folks with their real estate journey, she relishes the chance to check out new restaurants and has a penchant for finding hidden gems.  She believes love can come through food and that is what fuels her passion and interest in food drives, focused on food security in our community.  You can also find her volunteering and supporting "A Place at the Table", a pay-what-you-can cafe.  Check them out at https://tableraleigh.org/ to learn more about this incredible organization and their initiative, "where everyone has dignity and choice". Most of all, she loves spending time with her family, traveling throughout the rich state of North Carolina, and attending the array of diverse events in the Triangle.  While they are no longer fixing up a Victorian, they are always up to something fun!
